Steve Palmitier is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Midland National® Life Insurance Company and North American Company for Life and Health Insurance®.
Steve is chiefly responsible for life insurance sales, distribution, marketing, and product development for both companies. As a senior leader, he has the ability to set aggressive growth goals and help implement strategic initiatives that guide both organizations toward achieving those goals.
Steve joined Sammons Financial Group in 1996, coming from Penn Mutual where he served as Senior Vice President. Within the company, Steve also served as President of Sammons Securities Company, LLC. Steve has had a career in the life insurance field where he has garnered over 30 years of experience. His extensive background in the market has given him the opportunity to be active in extensive industry research.
In addition to his position at Sammons Financial Group, Steve serves on the board of CIBM Bancshares. He has received the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and LIMRA Leadership Institute Fellow designations. Steve is a member of Pedlars Study Group and LIMRA. He received his Bachelor of Arts in finance from the University of Northern Iowa.
