Sioux Falls Mayor Offers Proclamation to Mark 10-Year Anniversary of Sammons Financial Group Building on Solberg Avenue
SIOUX FALLS, SD | Feb. 13, 2019 - Sammons® Financial Group, Inc., a major employer1 in Sioux Falls, celebrated 10 years of occupancy in the office building located at 5400 S. Solberg Avenue with a proclamation from Mayor Paul TenHaken.
As a former employee of SFG, TenHaken was honored to celebrate this significant milestone with SFG staff. “I’m proud to have spent time at SFG early in my career,” said TenHaken. “Sioux Falls is blessed to have SFG as part of our community. With millions of dollars in charitable donations and countless volunteer hours by employees, SFG exemplifies what is means for an organization to have a big heart for their community,” he added.
During his official announcement, TenHaken recognized SFG for being a pillar of the Sioux Falls community for over 40 years that is consistently voted a top employer both regionally and nationally; a provider of thousands of jobs for South Dakotans over its 110+ year history; a significant philanthropic investor that has given over seven million dollars in charitable contributions over the past 10 years; and an organization that promotes community involvement with countless hours of employee volunteerism offered to many nonprofits.
