Our member companies continue to grow in strength and stability!

Sammons® Financial Group, Inc. (SFG) is the parent of a group of member companies under the insurance Holding Company Act made up of several successful financial services companies offering a variety of financial and retirement products through multiple distribution channels. These consist of retirement products, annuities, variable annuities1, variable life insurance1, and life insurance (including bank, corporate, and credit union-owned life insurance). The member companies of SFG include North American Company for Life and Health Insurance®, Midland National® Life Insurance Company, including its divisions, Sammons Annuity Group and Sammons Corporate Markets Group, Sammons Retirement Solutions® Inc., and Sammons Financial Network® LLC.

Unlike most financial companies, the member companies of SFG are not publicly-traded, which means the companies are not subject to short-term earnings pressures often faced by publicly-traded companies. In addition, the member companies of SFG continue to grow in reputation and stability, due to their unique ownership and prudent investment choices.

From top level to ground level, our distinguished reputation and our continuous, high industry ratings are a result of the efforts of the dedicated employees of the member companies of SFG.

The ultimate parent of SFG, Sammons Enterprises, Inc., is a multi-faceted, diversified international holding company that owns and operates businesses across a range of industries. Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Sammons Enterprises, Inc., ranks among the largest privately owned companies in the United States2.

Community Involvement - The people of SFG have caring hearts, and are actively involved in our communities. One by one, we are making a difference where we live and work. We step up to serve on boards, coach little league teams and serve as volunteer firemen. We lend a helping hand in times of natural disasters. We volunteer at soup kitchens, provide assistance to our youth and senior citizens, and support fundraising efforts for anti-violence programs.

In Chicago, we adopted a local school to provide better resources for the education of our youth. We worked alongside Mayor Rahm Emanuel and basketball legend, Isiah Thomas, to support Windy City Hoops, a city-wide basketball program that provides a fun, safe environment for at-risk teens in high crime areas. In Fargo, we help the elderly prepare their homes for the winter and participate in the building of an indoor riding arena for physically challenged children. We fill countless sandbags as the Red River floods its banks. In Sioux Falls, we help feed the hungry and volunteer to make Special Olympics a meaningful experience for participants. Hundreds of employees in Des Moines volunteered over 3,000 hours to local organizations like Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Central Iowa, United Way, Special Olympics, March of Dimes and many more, and won SFG a United Way Giving Award.

The list goes on. We are physically involved. We organize volunteer efforts through our businesses, and we volunteer independently. We spend our time and our money supporting the issues that we are passionate about to make our lives and communities better for our families and our neighbors.
