Sammons Financial Group Elevates Trent Freier to Vice President, Corporate Markets
West Des Moines, Iowa – January 5, 2023 – Sammons® Financial Group, Inc. has named Trent Freier as a vice president of Sammons Corporate Markets Group. In this new role, Freier will assume many of the day-to-day responsibilities necessary to build the pension risk transfer business within the Corporate Markets business unit and grow its existing sales relationships.
The promotion was effective January 1 and follows the recent retirement of business-line president Ron Ottenbacher, and the elevation of Joe Paul to president, Sammons Corporate Markets Group. Ottenbacher retired after 20 years leading the Corporate Markets business.

He continues to lead this very important work and will continue to focus on this emerging market in his new role.”
The Corporate Markets business is one of the fastest-growing lines of business for Sammons Financial Group, concentrating on a specific sector of the financial services industry.
